Important Notice to Veterans, Military Members, and Their Families

Voice of the Veteran remains fully committed to keeping our Nation’s Heroes and their families at the center of the Day of Gratitude mission.

We want to make you aware of a recent operational change regarding post-event gift distribution. One of the event partners, a non-Veteran and Faith Based organization, has implemented a plan to distribute the main bulk of gifts through participating local churches during the week following the event.

Voice of the Veteran leadership — including the Founder/CEO and President — did not request, approve, and does not support this change. Our longstanding position has been that gift distribution should occur directly to Veterans and Military families at the main event whenever possible, as was successfully done during the inaugural Day of Gratitude.

We understand that requiring families to make additional trips after the event may create inconvenience or confusion, and we believe our Nation’s Heroes deserve the most direct and respectful experience possible.

Because of these differences in operational approach:

  • Voice of the Veteran leadership will not be participating in Day of Gratitude 2 in an official Voice of the Veteran capacity.

  • However, Bob Maxwell and Dan Kamanao may be present in their separate roles with Veterans World Magazine that has nothing to do with Voice of the Veteran.

Our commitment to serving Veterans, Military members, and their families remains unwavering and ALWAYS at the Center of Everything We Do..

We share this information so you can make fully informed decisions and understand Voice of the Veteran’s position.

With respect and gratitude,

Voice of the Veteran Leadership

Bob Maxwell, Founder & CEO
Dan Kamanao, President
