I was grocery shopping the other day when a very nice lady approached me and said “Thank you for your service”. No matter how many times this may happen, I am always very thankful and my reply is “Thank you for your support”. She then handed me a letter that was written by her daughter Carly. I have attached a copy of the letter below, which really touched my heart and to know that it came from a 13 year old young lady, is amazing in itself. It is obvious that Carly put a lot of time and effort into her letter. I can say that I was touched and proud at the same time. I could tell just by talking to her Mom that she is an extremely proud Mom.
The letter reads as follows:
Dear Veteran,
Thank you for your service protecting me, my family, and my friends. You are the reason the U.S. is a free country and why I’m safe. Words can’t describe how much YOU mean to me. I don’t know what I’d do without YOU! Our country wouldn’t be as safe today if it wasn’t for you!
Thank you for fighting your hardest. It means a ton to me. Remember to always stay positive and if you ever feel down, remember everything will get better soon and that you are a very special person who made my life and millions of American’s lives better!
Love,
Carly (age 13)

Carly, on behalf of Voice of the Vet and Veterans everywhere, I send you a Very Heartfelt Thank You! And Carly’s Mom, if you could please contact me with the information on my business card, we would like to extend our thank you to you and Carly and see if she would like to help us develop a New “Kidz Section” on our website.
If Carly is any indication of our future, we are in very good hands!
