a Class-Action Lawsuit Against the People’s Republic of China Government
At a press conference on March 24 at the Las Vegas Law Office of Eglet Adams, Senior Partner Robert Eglet outlined the important details of the 23-page complaint.
The class-action suit was brought by small businesses in the United States, which number approximately 32 million small businesses. The businesses are seeking monetary and related damages sustained as a result of the coronavirus pandemic against the People’s Republic of China and its various government entities. The complaint alleges that The People’s Republic of China engaged in a cover-up of the outbreak of COVID-19.
“I want to stress and emphasize that this lawsuit and the allegations in it are against the government of the People’s Republic of China and not the Chinese people. American Chinese people, as well as the people of China, are as much a victim of the People’s Republic of China’s Government’s actions and inactions as every other people of the world…and American Chinese people and the people of China are not to blame for China’s Government’s misdeed,’ said Eglet.
When asked about the message that he would like the Chinese Government to take away from the press conference, Robert said, “The message I would like them to hear loud and clear is that American small businesses are not just going to stand by and idly let this kind of carnage and damage happen to them because of the Chinese Government’s irresponsibility and the way they handled this outbreak,”.
