Lawmakers Criticize VA for Changing Benefits Process
Amid Pandemic
In the never ending and constantly changing saga of the VA changing the rules in the middle of the game, they have come up with this brilliant move. The VA is ENDING a decades-old practice of allowing veterans service representatives (VSO) to review benefits decisions for accuracy before those decisions are finalized and sent to veterans. As outlined in a VA manual, representatives accredited by the VA have 48 hours to review new rating decisions on behalf of their clients. The decisions determine the level of compensation for service-connected injuries and illnesses. This information is from a very informative and well written article by Nikki Wentling for Stars and Stripes.
You can also see a copy of the letter from Congress to Robert Wilkie, Secretary of Veterans Affairs by clicking on the CLICK HERE link below. It is a MUST read that exposes another way the VA intends to deny Veterans from receiving their deserved disability benefits. Even under the watchful eyes of Congress, the VA is still up to their old tricks of rotten tactics and illegal activities, but we forgot, the VA cares or at least that’s what they want everyone to believe.
